Joke Robot "JR"
Submit a joke.
JR will laugh and then dance if the joke is funny.**

** JR uses vast amounts of processing power. Firstly he compares your joke with many thousands of jokes already within the jokes1 Database and finds what we call "similarity of rhythm" between the words used and comparing them with common forms of word pairs in which 99% of the time, lead to a punch line.
He does this with a response rate of less than 1 thousandth of a second, the user will not see a delay (other than that of their internet connection) from the moment they submit their joke to the moment "JR" laughs and dances about.
Don't worry if JR's heard your joke before
(he probably has), he will still laugh and dance
if it's funny.
The second part of his humor/humour processing is based on the words used. Consulting and comparing with his dictionary he can again form the "Second Guess Process" in which he can actually grade the humour. He will know if one joke is funnier than the next by the words used in your joke. A very simple explanation of this process is that JR can apply scores to words. Some words being sillier than others, the sillier the word, the higher the score. This "Second Guess Process" is Based on Dr Michael Knights research into humor from the Ipswich College of
Design & Print Origination. View his faeces on the subject by clicking here.
Up until JR it has been widely believed that humor/humour and jokes could not be processed. The sort of "AI" (Artificial Intelligence) required goes beyond
mere machines. Joke Robot is proving this theory wrong
with programming power alone!
